today i took my last test for the week and i’m off from school till tuesday for Easter – oh glory! i’ve decided to post again simply because i can. haha! i love having free time.
today oswald wrote that “a heartless Christian must be a terrible grief to our Lord.” mmm, true statement.
then the passage dear ozzy used to draw that conclusion led me to romans 8 (my quiet times can be rampant with rabbit trails sometimes). the verses in romans 8 reminded me of what i’d been learning with beth about setting my mind on things above.
romans 8:5-7 says:
“those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. for to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. for the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.”
wow. set my mind on You Lord, got it. set.
changing gears a bit, Wade had their Easter party today with the after school kids, which means i got to spend most of the day taking pictures! tomorrow night is our first ever Good Friday service, and the kids choir and praise dance teams are going to share in worship. it’s pretty exciting to see God work in their little lives!
and to conclude my “because i can” randomness, pictures from our sacred day last saturday : )
have a super blessed Good Friday and Easter weekend!
Christ is risen…risen indeed!
grace and peace,
